Our trip begins in Sabi Sabi private game reserve where you will spend two nights in the old world romance of the legendary Selati Camp and a further 2 nights at Earth lodge – a state-of-the-art spiritual retreat. Learn the art of tracking from the skilled Shangaan Tracker. Guests begin an adventure to spot a myriad of wild animals, but not limited to, the big 5, leopard, lion, rhino, elephant and buffalo. The graceful impala, dazzling zebra and other unique African game will be encountered. The trackers will relate their folklore, explain medicinal uses of the bush as well as discuss their cultural heritage. Treat yourself with one complimentary spa treatment. You leave the game reserve with a wonderful knowledge of the flora and fauna, as well as having award-winning photographs of our creatures and had close, unlimited encounters with the wildlife. Afterwards head on South Luangwa National Park, Zambia’s premier wildlife destinations that has remained untainted by the effect of mass tourism. If you thought the Sabi Sand offered the best leopard sightings in the world, think again. Luangwa’s spotted cats are so plentiful they’ll have you ho-humming after a few game drives. And if that’s not recommendation enough, how’s this: scientists reckon that there’s one leopard for every kilometre of Luangwa river bank. The pack is also home to relic sub-species giraffe, Thornycroft’s as well as Cookson’s wildebeest and Crawshayi’s zebra. Three days of walking and game drives with deluxe accommodation completes this once of a life-time trip to real Africa. Day 1, Monday – USA/Johannesburg Touchdown in Johannesburg today, where a warm welcome under African skies awaits you. You are assisted to your domestic flight to Kruger Mpumulanga International Airport. Transfer to your luxurious lodge, surrounded by the sights and sounds of Africa. Game Reserve Day 2, Tuesday – Kruger National Park Full day to learn the art of tracking with knowledgeable Shangaan Trackers in search of leopard and other wildlife creatures. (B,L,D) Selati Camp – Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve Day 3-4, Wednesday – Thursday – Kruger National Park After breakfast transfer to Earth lodge – a-state-of-the-art spiritual retreat. Enjoy 2 days of fine game-viewing in this spectacular game reserve. Alternatively treat yourself with a complimentary spa massage. (B,L,D) Earth lodge – Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve Day 5, Friday – Kruger Park/Johannesburg/South Luangwa After breakfast, fly to Johannesburg for your connecting flight to Lusaka where you will be transferred by private charter to South Luangwa. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in one of Africa’s most unspoilt Game Park. Accommodation is at the prestigious Chichele Presidential lodge on a magnificent hilltop site with sumptuous, air conditioned accommodation. Day 8, Monday – South Luangwa/Johannesburg Transfer to Lusaka International Airport by private charter for your connecting flight to Johannesburg.
