Trip Highlights & Overview
With its many cultural attractions and day trip possibilities beautiful Cape Town is a wonderful start to your adventure in South Africa. After taking trips to the Cape Peninsula, and the wine region, you will be ready to head out to the country for the game viewing. The next stop is at Londolozi Private Game Reserve (G) or Ngala Game Lodge (S), a luxurious base for game viewing. Chances are excellent that you will see lions, leopards, elephants, rhino, buffalo, cheetah and many other species in their natural habitat. Finally, the optional extension to Victoria Falls will take you to one of the seven Natural Wonders of the World. Day 1 Tuesday Arrive in Cape Town. “…..The most stately thing, the fairest Cape we saw in the whole world circumference of the earth…” is how Sir Francis Drake described the Cape of Good Hope in 1580. You will be met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to prepare for tomorrow’s adventures. V & A
Hotel (S) Day 2 Wednesday Cape Town Scenic City Tour Your introduction to the Cape area begins at the Table Mountain for it’s spectacular views. Continue to the Malay Quarter passing through the Houses of Parliament, the City Hall and the Castle. Your final stop is at Blouberg beach, where we get a magnificent view of Table Mountain from across Table Bay! The afternoon, on your own, shop at V & A Waterfront. In the evening dinner is at Africa Café where you will enjoy a selection of Africa’s best dishes. (B, D) V & A
Hotel (S) Day 3 Thursday Cape Town Cape Point/Cape of Good Hope Your journey today offers unsurpassed scenery as you visit the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. Travel along the scenic Atlantic Ocean Coast en route to Hout Bay. On arrival there’s an opportunity for a cruise to Seal Island (payable locally). Travel onwards to the splendor of Cape Point and Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve - said to be the meeting place of two mighty oceans, the Atlantic and the Indian. Return to your hotel is via Boulders Beach where there is a chance to see a colony of Penguins, and the small town of Simon’s Town. (B) V & A
Hotel (S) Day 4 - Friday Cape Town/Johannesburg/Kruger Park Your flight, takes you across the country to your luxurious camp in Kruger Park. This Afternoon offers the thrill of your first big game encounters. (B, L, D) Ngala Game Lodge (S) Day 5 - 6 Saturday/Sunday Kruger Park The private reserves surrounding Kruger Park offer guests spectacular game viewing experiences using open safari vehicles. Travel off road, enjoy night drives and return to camp for the finest bush cuisine.
